In August 2013, South African Tourism, in collaboration with South African Airways USA and Marine Dynamics, wanted to create an engaging and immersive online experience to promote shark diving in South Africa. The campaign was designed to captivate and attract adventure seekers from around the globe to explore South Africa’s rich marine life.
We developed Shark Friendzy, an HTML5 Facebook application that provided users with a thrilling 3D virtual shark diving experience that brings the excitement of shark diving to life.

The Shark Friendzy campaign was a massive success, reaching over 7 million people and attracting 2,653 entries into the sweepstakes. The app generated widespread buzz, being featured in numerous online publications, including Travel Pulse, Luxury Travel Advisor, and Sherman's Travel Blog.
The campaign effectively showcased the excitement of shark diving and significantly boosted awareness of South Africa as a premier adventure tourism destination.
