Getting Ready for the Worldwide Developer’s Conference 2011

#WWDC 2011: Apple updates, Developers Conference

“WWDC 2011” The worldwide Developer’s Conference is about to start on 6th June. The kick off would be the keynote from Steve Jobs, which will start at 10 AM (PST). All developers are looking forward to this event scheduled for a whole week held in San Francisco; Apple has already announced that they will be discussing Mac OSX Lion. iCloud and iOS 5.

The senior vice president of worldwide product marketing of Apple said “If you are an iOS or Mac OS X software developer, this is the event that you do not want to miss”. Apple is expected to offer 100 technical sessions for developers in the conference presented by Apple engineers, offering code-level assistance; also the opportunity to meet the developers from around the globe and share the experiences.

As usual there are a lot of rumors about what is expected from this conference. Well 6th June is right here and all the rumors would be put to rest as the conference kicks off at 10 AM. While we list down a few of the rumors expected at the conference, we would always be open for Steve Jobs famous quote “There is one more thing” at the last of his keynote speech.

Here are the predictions we are able to provide from our sources, which Apple may discuss at the conference on 6th June:

  1. Widgets and Notifications: Apple already announced the release of iOS 5 in this conference, the question arises, what will it actually do? Our guess is it is more focused on notifications and widgets, to help the home screen look more alive. We are not sure what the widgets will look like but they are expected to be launched in this conference.
  2. Wireless Synching: For activation of iPhone and iPad user have to connect it to a desktop computer. Apple’s motive as is known by a major population is to create a world without wires, and it is strongly believed that the update would include wireless synching of iPhone, iPod and iPads. The user wouldn’t even require a computer for activation.
  3. Deep Twitter Integration: It is strongly expected that Apple is going to announce some major updates for Tweeter integration with the iOS 5. It now would not only share the photos and tweets but also would have more functions. The functions are still to be discussed after the announcement.
  4. Cloud Services: The iCloud is meant to replace MobileMe. It is hard to predict whether Apple is going to keep its current web services for calendar, email, photo sharing, Find My iPhone, remote storage and bookmark syncing or will remove all of them, but the expectation for two new services are expected: Movie streaming and musicfrom iCloud.
  5. No Hardware Announcement: Rumor has it that Apple might not be able to release an iPhone 5 this summer, which is expected to be shipped with the newest version of its mobile OS i.e. iOS 5.

To an extent we might think that we are correct on the above points, but we have to wait for the big moment, we still need to know plenty more details.
