It was later on explained to the girls how negative gender stereotypes have changed their perception of being a girl. The ad received a tremendous response from audiences across all media. The hashtag #LikeAGirl went viral across all social media platforms, like Twitter, Google+, Instagram and Facebook. People, especially girls, shared a lot of posts under this hashtag.
